Dharwad: Computers have become an integral part of life and extreme care should be taken to ensure that the technology is not misused for destructive purposes, said principal district and sessions judge K G Shanti.
Speaking after inaugurating the exhibition on computer technology organised by the KE Board at Vidyaranya PU College’s high school section here on Friday, she said during the pandemic and resultant lockdown, life went on smoothly owing to advances in information technology in the fields of education, healthcare, trade, transport and banking. However, the technology is being misused for cyber crimes and terrorist activities and hence a constant vigil is needed against these tendencies. The judge also said teachers and parents have a responsibility to see that children are protected from developing addiction to electronic gadgets.
