Patna: Morning walker killed for resisting chain snatching

PATNA: A 60-year-old woman was killed during a morning walk near Mokimpur Hans Ashram under Parsa Bazar police station area in Patna on Friday morning. Locals alleged the woman was killed for resisting chain snatching.
The deceased was identified as Saroj Devi of Taranpur village under Gaurichak police station area. She had injury mark on her neck and ear. One of her ears was cut and an earring was missing. Angry people blocked Jehanabad-Dhanarua road.
SHO in-charge of Parsa police station, Mukesh Kumar, did not rule out the possibility of chain snatching as the reason behind the murder.
“We were informed about the incident around 7am. The body was sent for postmortem and then handed over to the family,” he said.
