GANDHINAGAR: Former chief minister Vijay Rupani, who stepped down from his post last September, has been appointed the
BJP in-charge for Punjab .
Rupani had become CM in August 2016 and stepped down in favour of his successor Bhupendra Patel in September 2021.
In the past too, the former CM Rupani has worked in the BJP organization in other states and at the national level.
The central leadership of the BJP on Friday appointed leaders in charge of 15 states and Union territories.
