Snatchers arrested; police seize phones

Ludhiana: In two separate cases, the CIA-I of Ludhiana police commissionerate arrested two accused with snatched and stolen electronic devices.
One Rajvir Singh Vicky of Haibowal’s Pavittar Nagar was arrested near Haibowal police station road, following a tip-off.
Additional deputy commissioner of police-Investigation Rupinder Kaur Sra said that he was stopped at a checkpost and upon frisking, the police seized nine mobile phones and one bike from him. The accused used to snatch mobile phones from commuters, the police added.
The police also arrested Amandeep Singh Sonu of Jagraon from Baba Than Singh chowk and seized a phone and a laptop from him. Two separate FIRs have been lodged by the police against them. tnn
