Man goes missing in Karamana river

Thiruvananthapuram: A 65-year-old man went missing in Karamana River on Friday afternoon at Kavadikadavu near Kulasekharam new bridge while taking bath with his relative.
Dennison, a resident of Kakkamoola near Kalliyoor, arrived at Kulasekharam to meet his daughter, who is married off there.
After lunch, Dennison went with Velappan Nair, Dennison’s daughter’s father-in-law, to take a bath. Nair was standing on the banks while Dennison was taking a dip.
Dennison was carried away in a sudden current and Nair jumped into the river in a bid to save him. However, Dennison went missing and later the police and fire force were informed.
Kattakada fire force reached the spot and searched for him till late in the evening.
The search will continue on Saturday morning and Vattiyoorkavu police have registered a case.
