City reports 4 Covid cases

Ludhiana: Four persons tested positive for Covid in the city, where no death was reported on Friday. Health officials said there were 46 active cases at present. On Friday, they said, 2,680 samples were taken, of which 1,875 were taken through RTPCR whereas 798 were done through Rapid Antigen Test and seven through Trunat.
A day before, 15 persons tested positive for Covid and there was no death due to the disease here. Health officials said that the total number of deaths in the district stood at 3,016 whereas the number of deaths of people from other districts and states stood at 1,141.
According to the health department, 39,31,481 samples have been tested in the city. It added that four persons from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid whereas none from other districts and states was found to be infected with the virus here on Friday.
Health officials said till Friday, the total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 1,13,441 whereas with the number of cases from outer districts/states was 15,271. Recoveries numbered 1,10,379, constituting 97.30% of the total cases.
Four active cases from other districts and states have been reported in Ludhiana.
