Thiruvananthapuram: The city police commissioner imposed restrictions for vehicle movement between the corporation office and Vellayambalam junction from Friday to Monday from 6pm to 11pm. This decision has been taken in view of the tourism week celebrations being held at Kanakakunnu Palace.
The traffic will also be restricted on Manaveeyam road. The vehicles coming from Kowdiar side to Thampanoor and East Fort, should take the Vazhuthacaud route. The vehicles going to PMG, Pattom and medical college should take the Kowdiar-Kuravankonam road.
The vehicles coming from East Fort and Thampanoor towards Peroorkada and Sasthamangalam should take the Nanthencode road from the corporation office building junction.
The city police commissioner informed that parking of vehicles has been strictly banned on these roads. If any vehicles are found parked, then the police recovery vans will be used to shift these vehicles. In case of emergency, there will be more restrictions on other roads to control the crowd movement, he said.
