Mandya: State
BJP vice president B Y Vijayendra on Friday said BJP leaders will start tour of
Karnataka ahead of the assembly polls.
While he asserted that former CM B S Yediyurappa will lead a team of BJP leaders in their tour, he said the party top brass has not stopped him in his tour plan. The state unit president Nalin Kumar Kateel and CM Basavaraj Bommai will lead other two teams, he told reporters. He denied any division in the party.
According to him, the schedule for the tour was ready, but was delayed owing to rain fury.
He visited the Bhuvarahnatha Swamy temple in KR Pet taluk and offered special pooja. Later, he visited Sri Rama Yogishwara Mutt at Baby Betta in Pandavapur taluk.
BJP will field winnable candidates in Old Mysuru region and will not be content with merely fighting the polls, he said.
