GREATER NOIDA: A 20-second video clip of a dog owner arguing with a woman over using the residents' elevator with his pet in Greater Noida's Jaypee Aman society, Sector 151, went viral on Friday morning, first on the society WhatsApp groups and later on social media.
The dog owner and the woman live in Tower 8 of the society. Police later arrested the dog owner for abusing the woman.

This comes following incidents of dog owners receiving criticism over their pets' behaviour in Noida and Ghaziabad societies.
The apartment owners' association (AOA) president said that the dog owner was earlier asked to use the service elevator if he had his dogs with him. However, the video clip shows him refusing to comply with the request.
According to the clip, while making the video, the woman resident asks the dog owner which lift he and his dog will use. To this, the dog owner abuses the woman, adding, "I'll use this lift", while pointing towards the elevator in front of him. The woman again asks, "You don't know the rules about which lift to use?" However, the dog owner reiterates he will take the one in front of him and steps inside with his dog.
Hemant Parmar, AOA president, said, "The man has many dogs in his house. Recently, several incidents of dogs biting residents have happened in our society. The pet owner was asked to use the service lift. But, according to the video, he did not listen to the woman and abused her. We have three lifts in every tower; one of them is a service lift."
Police arrested the dog owner on Friday afternoon. Sanjay Kumar Singh, station house officer, Knowledge Park, said, "In the video that surfaced, the dog owner was seen misbehaving with the woman. We arrested him in the afternoon under section 151 of CRPC."
