GURUGRAM: The post-mortem report of the 11-year-old boy found murdered in a madrassa in Nuh has revealed that he suffered two injuries - one blunt injury on the back of the head, and another on the nose.
No other injuries were found. Police said his samples have been sent to a forensic lab to ascertain if he was sexually assaulted.
The boy went missing last week. His body was found buried in sand inside the madrassa three days ago. No arrests have been made in the case so far. Nuh police said they have interrogated around 40 people, including the madrassa staff and nearby shopkeepers.
"We are questioning people and are closing in on the suspects. Arrests are likely to be made soon. The body had decomposed by the time it was found, which is posing a challenge for the forensic team," Nuh SP Varun Singla told TOI.
The 11-year-old lost his father four years ago to an illness. He lived with his mother, a domestic help, and three sisters in a one-room accommodation in a Nuh village. The boy's family said he had joined the madrassa near their house last year to learn Urdu and Arabic languages.
On September 2, the boy had gone to the madrassa but didn't return. Later, his family received a call from a teacher at the madrassa telling them their son had gone missing.
They frantically searched for him, up to the neighbouring Rajasthan border, until they got a call from one of the teachers three days later, saying his body had been found inside the madrassa.
