Coast Guard’s cleanup drive at Velsao beach

VASCO: Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, a coastal cleanship event, was conducted by the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), district-11 through their personnel from ICGS Vaibhav, C-148 and C-158 at Velsao beach in coordination with village panchayat of Velsao-Pale-Issorcim on Thursday.
Teachers and students from Infant Jesus Academy, members of NGO Goencho Ekvott and villagers of Velsao, Pale, Issorcim, Cansaulim and nearby villages joined in picking up waste washed ashore at the beach.
Sarpanch Maria Diana Gouveia thanked the Indian Coast Guard personnel for selecting Velsao beach for the drive. tnn
