Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh slammed the BJP over alleged misuse of central agencies. Singh questioned why central probe agencies did not investigate scams carried out by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He further questioned if the sole purpose of these agencies was to 'harass AAP leaders'.

"BJP’s scams are unveiled day by day but the ED-CBI don’t even think about investigating them. If the BJP doesn’t want an investigation into scams, why do ED and CBI exist? Is their only purpose harassing AAP leaders?" Singh said.

The AAP leader alleged that the BJP had committed a scam in the name of 'ration' for the destitute in Madhya Pradesh.

"Why isn’t the CBI raiding Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s house now? If PM Modi has even an ounce of shame left in him, he must direct the ED-CBI to probe the trail of Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s ration scam," Singh alleged.

Referring to the CAG report, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said, “A major scam committed by the Madhya Pradesh government has come to light. And this scam was not unearthed out of any regular investigation but through an audit done by the auditor general. You will be shocked to know the manner in which corruption has been committed. The rations are supplied to the Anganwadi centres and funds are shown for the transportation of the cereals. This food was supposed to be given to innocent children but they did not even spare it. How was this scam unearthed? Through an audit by the auditor general. And what is the amount which was gobbled down? Rs 150 crores was misappropriated in merely two districts.”

He said “There are 50 districts in Madhya Pradesh and if you estimate the total amount of the scam, it comes to the tune of Rs 7,000 crores. What is the scam? Vehicle numbers of scooters, water tankers, bikes and cars were put on record for the purpose of transportation, but when the matter was investigated, it turned out that none of these numbers belonged to trucks. Cereals should have been transported by truck, but can you believe that it was done by bikes, scooters or cars? When it was inquired how many children should be the beneficiary? The actual number was nine thousand but it was projected on paper that 36 lakh children were provided with food. The remaining food and funds were gobbled up.”

He further said that several BJP leaders had committed fraud and scams but the ED and CBI did not take up a 'single case'.

"These people should shut down all these investigation agencies. If there is a corruption case linked with a BJP CM or someone who is about to join the BJP and no investigation is initiated against them, what is the need of these organisations? Are they only in operation to investigate cases against AAP or other opposition parties? Are these agencies only working to help the central government in its politics of trading MLAs?”

AAP leader Sanjay Singh demanded that the CBI and the ED should launch an investigation against Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the ration scam to the tune of thousands of crores.

He said "Madhya Pradesh CM should resign from his post because this is a ration scam worth thousands of crores. Today, a delegation of AAP MLAs went to the CBI headquarters to submit a complaint about this matter. If the Modi government has any shame left and if they want to put forth their impartiality in front of the country, they should order a CBI and ED investigation against Shivraj Singh Chauhan."
