Margao: Union minister for micro, small & medium enterprises (MSME) Narayan Rane on Friday chaired a meeting with BJP’s core committee for the South Goa Lok Sabha elections at the party’s South Goa office at Margao.
Sources said that Rane stressed on the need for strengthening the party organisation at all levels in its preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and discussed measures to achieve the objective.
BJP state president Sadanand Shet Tanavade, general secretaries Narendra Sawaikar and Damodar Naik, Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar, MLAs Ganesh Gaonkar, Ulhas Tuyekar, Krishna Salkar, besides others, were present at the meeting.
Rane, tweeting from his official handle, said that the meeting was a part of BJP’s 'Lok Sabha Pravas Yojana’ and described the discussions with the karyakartas and office bearers as “fruitful.”
In preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024, the party has assigned a Union minister to a constituency each as a ‘pravas minister’ under the party’s 'Lok Sabha Pravas Yojana.
