SURAT: Nitant Joshi of Surat was among the 50 national toppers in the NEET UG results of which were announced on Thursday.
He secured the rank with 705 marks out of 720.
Aspiring to be a doctor, Nitant is looking forward to admission in AIIMS New Delhi. He was preparing for the exam for the past two years. "In the last few months of Class X, I decided that I want to go for medicine and started preparing accordingly," said Nitant, whose father Bhavik is an engineer and mother Sapna a homemaker.
Asked about his advice to students, Nitant said, "It's important to first focus on NCERT books instead of using any other study material. Preparation based on the books plays a key role," said Nitant, who completed his schooling from JH Ambani - Reliance Foundation School.
"It is also important to practice solving question papers in
MCQ format. It can help while appearing in exams. Maximum practice can ensure good results," he added. Nitant scored full marks 180 in physics. "Nitant is a patient learner and he understands that even one mark plays an important role in each exam. He is hardworking. He started preparation three years ago and did focused study," said Nehchal Sinh Hanspal, his tutor.
