3 die in 2 separate mishaps in Barmer

Jaisalmer: Two youths died and two others were seriously injured when two cars collided on NH 68 in Kalyanpur police station area of Barmer district late on Wednesday evening.
Police said two cars – one having four occupants and the other two – collided near Bankiawas on NH 68. The four injured people were rushed to Kalyanpur hospital in a private vehicle and an ambulance. One of them died there, and the three others were referred to Jodhpur. The other casualty took place in Jodhpur.
The deceased were identified as Lakshman Ram, 30, a resident of Thumbali, and Veeram Ram, 20, also a resident of Thumbali. They were relatives and were sitting in different cars. Their bodies were handed over to their families after an autopsy on Thursday. The injured were identified as Jitendra, 22, a resident of Thumbali, and Bhomaram, 23, a resident of Thorion ki Dhani Ramdevpura.
In another accident, a biker was killed when his bike collided with another near Kailash International Hotel in Barmer city on Thursday. The other biker fled after the accident. The body of the deceased, Hukmaram, a resident of Jatiyon ka Vas, was handed over to his family after autopsy.
ASI Bhanwraram said a case has been registered and an investigation has started. Efforts are on to trace the absconding biker.
