AgenciesNEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of TIINDIA(up 2.86 per cent), Bharat Forge(up 2.83 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(up 2.1 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 1.28 per cent) and Tata Motors(up 1.23 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.61 per cent), MRF(down 0.94 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.78 per cent), Escorts Kubota(down 0.29 per cent) and Bosch(down 0.26 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.52 per cent up at 13219.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 34.6 points at 17833.35, while the BSE Sensex stood up 104.92 points at 59793.14.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.
Shares of , , Zomato Ltd., and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of , , , and BSL Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., JFL Life Sciences Ltd., , and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
