Ashapura Minechem(down 5.66%), Oriental Trimex(down 3.63%), Dvpt Corporation(down 2.24%), 20 Microns(down 1.80%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.73%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.32%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.09%), MOIL(down 1.07%) and KIOCL(down 0.34%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 34.6 points up at 17833.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 104.92 points at 59793.14.
Tech Mahindra(up 3.5%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.02%), Infosys(up 2.68%), IndusInd Bank(up 2.66%), Maruti Suzuki(up 2.1%), HCL Technologies(up 1.97%), State Bank of India(up 1.83%), Shree Cement(up 1.79%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.71%) and Hindalco Industries(up 1.69%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.61%), SBI Life(down 1.46%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.33%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.27%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.03%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.93%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.92%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.78%), Britannia Industries(down 0.7%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.62%) closed in the red.
