Ahmedabad airport to have play area for kids

AHMEDABAD: To add to the convenience of passengers travelling with kids via the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport, the airport operator on Thursday inaugurated a dedicated play area for children in the security hold area.
The new outlet termed as Toy Joy Tales is located on the first floor of domestic departures, right before the boarding gate.
“Young travellers at SVPI airport will have added attraction on their next trip from the domestic terminal. The new children play area is all safe and manned to ensure children can play freely, parents can indulge in shopping or relax on comfortable seating. Usually it gets stressful when parents are travelling with children and have to wait for their flight for a long time. This option to keep children happy and engaged will enhance passenger’s experience,” the airport operator said in a statement.
Recently, for ground transportation a cab help desk was set up, dedicated sleeping pods were activated at the city airport to help passengers relax. Now the new addition is for children where they can play freely while they travel. The play is completely supervised and easy to access with well-trained assistants.
