Uttar Pradesh: Basti cop's wife, minor son found hanging at residence

LUCKNOW: A police sub-inspector's wife and their 10-year-old son were found hanging from the ceiling of the room inside their rented accommodation in Basti district on Wednesday morning, police said. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. SP Basti Ashish Srivastava has ordered a probe by a CO-rank officer.
SHO Kotwali Sanjay Kumar said, the bodies of Raisa, 30, and her son Shoaib were first spotted by her brother-in-law Irfan, who lives in a portion of the same house, at around 10 am. He then informed the police.
The SHO said Raisa's husband Rizwan Khan, 35, a 2015-batch S-I and posted as Civil Lines police outpost in-charge, was on duty when the incident took place. "The bodies have been sent for post mortem. We are also waiting for the family to lodge complaint," said Kumar.
CO City Alok Prasad also reached the spot and supervised the investigations.
