Maoist hideout destroyed in West Singhbhum forest: Cops

Jamshedpur: Security forces on Wednesday claimed to have destroyed a hideout of the Maoists at Rengrahatu forest hills under Tonto police station area in West Singhbhum.
“The search operation was launched by the CRPF’s 174 battalion, CoBRA and district police personnel. When they reached the spot, the Maoists opened fire on our men prompting them to retaliate,” West Singhbhum SP Ashutosh Shekhar said.
Wanted Maoist operative Ajay Mahto was present in the area, police said. B Sridhar
