Jaipur: Dushyant Raj Singh Chundawat, the newly appointed senior vice-president of the state youth Congress, has denied allegations that he was not even a member of the Youth Congress and was still given a senior position.
Chundawat is a nephew of cabinet minister Pratap Singh Kachariyawas.
Rajasthan Youth Board chairman Sitaram Lamba questioned the appointments of 14 new office-bearers on September 4, calling these undemocratic. Lamba also questioned the appointment of Sagar Sharma, the son of AICC in-charge of Gujarat, Raghu Sharma, as a senior vice-president.
In a statement, Chundawat said it is the senior leaders’ responsibility to strengthen the organisation, but those without even a distant relation with the struggle and agitation are raising questions about the new appointments. This is nothing but tactics to garner cheap publicity, he said.
