JD(S) to get chairman posts of all 4 standing committees

Mysuru: BJP has decided to let JD(S) corporators bag chairman posts of all the four standing committees of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) in return for their support in mayoral election.
“BJP has assured support for our party to grab chairman posts of all the four standing committees. There is no question of asking the deputy mayor to quit her post,” said GT Devegowda, Chamundeshwari MLA and disgruntled JD(S) leader.
“Deputy mayor’s post related issues are now a closed chapter,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Congress continued its attack on JD(S) which supported BJP in the mayor and deputy mayor election.
KPCC spokesperson HA Venkatesh stated that JD(S) true face was exposed in the election. “Even though JD(S) claims that it is a secular party, its decision to support BJP should be questioned. They don’t have any morality,” he stated.
“Former CM HD Kumaraswamy has stooped to another low for the sake of power,” he charged. JD(S) humiliated the minority community by not ensuring the deputy mayor’s post and ensured that BJP will get both posts.
Meanwhile, Varuna MLA Yatheendra Siddaramaiah stated that JD(S) hurt its own members by supporting BJP members in the election even though the party didn’t ask for support.
