Jaipur:
BJP state unit has directed its core, executive and working committee members to be present in
Jodhpur for the two-day OBC National Working Committee meeting (September 9-10) and booth-level workers meet (September 10). Union home minister Amit Shah will attend the valedictory ceremony of the meet and deliver an inaugural address at the booth-level meet. During the meeting, the BJP leaders of the Jodhpur division, have been asked to mobilise the booth-level party workers to attend the event.
“Over 30,000 party workers including booth level party workers and panna pramukh (in-charge of voters list page) will attend the event. The idea is to motivate them by directly connecting with our leader Shah,” said a party leader. The event is going to measure the strength of the state organisation, which is facing issues like internal fights. The entire party brass will head for Jodhpur on Thursday for the meeting. Meanwhile, Poonia has accused CM Ashok Gehlot of being complacent in handling the lumpy diseases in districts like Jodhpur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jalore and Sirohi.
“Lakhs of cows have died due to Lumpy disease and more than 10 lakh bovines are infected. In such a situation, there is a need for a concrete action plan to prevent lumpy infection at the state government level,” said Poonia.
