Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 11:05AM

Sikko Industries(up 4.96%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.95%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 2.78%), Aries Agro(up 2.27%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.88%), KRISHANA(up 1.66%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.41%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.02%), & Fertilizers(up 0.94%) and G S F C(up 0.87%) were among the top gainers.

Agro Phos(down 4.92%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.56%), & Petrochemicals(down 0.60%) and Madras Fertlizers(down 0.36%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 106.8 points down at 17548.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 375.26 points at 58821.73 at around 11:05AM.

Shree Cement(up 6.19%), UltraTech Cement(up 3.08%), Coal India(up 1.48%), Britannia Industries(up 1.22%), Nestle India(up 0.83%), Grasim Industries(up 0.49%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.43%), UPL Ltd(up 0.3%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.27%) and Bajaj Finserv(up 0.18%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Motors(down 2.02%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.94%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.87%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.51%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.5%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.49%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.37%), HCL Technologies(down 1.29%), Enterprises(down 1.22%) and Tata Steel(down 1.1%) were trading in the red.
