Dumka: A
BJP team comprising Godda BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari and state party president Deepak Prakash is once again planning to visit Dumka to meet the family of a deceased tribal girl, who was killed and hanged from a tree by her acquaintance hailing from a different community in the district.
Dubey and Tiwari along with other BJP workers had last visited Dumka on August 31 to meet the kin of a Class 12 girl who was burnt alive by her stalker and later died in a hospital. The team’s visit, however, triggered a massive row owing to the alleged violation of aviation norms at the Deoghar airport, leading to a face-off between Dubey and the Deoghar DC. Both sides had lodged cases against each other with Dubey slapping sedition charges against the DC. On Tuesday, Dubey tweeted, “We won’t be deterred by any cases filed by the Soren government against us over meeting the victim’s family. We are expecting fresh cases against us. But BJP will stand by all such victims.”
He added, “The CM did not get time to meet the family of the tribal girl who was killed after rape by a Bangladeshi citizen but BJP’s Babulal Marandi returned after meeting them and now we will go.”
The date of the proposed visit has not been announced yet. Meanwhile, the police in Deoghar waiting for the transfer of zero FIR against the DC from Delhi’s North Avenue police station.
