Apple hosted the iPhone launch in person at the Steve Jobs Theater located in the Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California with CEO Tim Cook opening the keynote address.
While the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus continue with the older A15 Bionic chipset, Apple is improving the camera and adding safety features like crash detection to these. It is also removing the SIM tray from the US models of the iPhone 14 series. And yes, Apple is bringing emergency SOS via Satellite connectivity. But this is only for US and Canada for now.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Pro sports a new ‘dynamic island’ notch, which will change based on the activity that you’re doing or the app you might have open. For instance, when the music app is open, the notch will display a different kind of animation. The iPhone 14 Pro gets a 48MP main camera. The sale begins September 16 for iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Plus goes on sale starting October 7. The iPhone 14 starts at Rs 79,900 and the price is Rs 89,900 for the iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 14 Pro starts at Rs 1,29,900 while the iPhone 14 Pro Max at Rs 1,39,900.

The Apple Watch Series 8 now has a body temperature sensor to help women know when they are ovulating. It also comes with crash detection when driving and supports international roaming. Apple Watch Series 8 starts at Rs 45,9000 for the GPS version. It will be available for pre-order today and the sale starts on September 16. Apple has also revealed the Watch SE 2 as well which will cost Rs 29,900.
Meanwhile, the new Apple Watch Ultra is geared for the pros. It comes with a special 49mm case, making it one of the biggest displays on an Apple Watch. It also gets a dedicated action button. Apple Watch Ultra will cost Rs 89,900. It goes on sale on September 23. The Apple AirPods Pro 2 were also launched. These come with Spatial Audio, a new H2 chip and advanced noise cancellation. While Apple will not be selling these iPhones officially anymore, you still may be able to find them for sale on e-commerce sites or with retailers.

The iPhone 14 starts at Rs 79,900 for 128GB storage, but each higher storage variant will cost Rs 10,000 extra. So the 256GB version costs Rs 89,900. The same trend continues with the iPhone 14 Plus which starts at Rs 89,900 for the base 128GB and then an extra Rs 10,000 for the 256GB. The iPhone 14 Pro starts at Rs 1,29,900 with another Rs 10k for the next storage.

The first is the Apple Watch Ultra, which is will definitely have an appeal for several folks, even the non-Pro athletes. Apple iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 and Pro Max at $1099. So Apple has not increased the prices. The India prices are not yet out, but they should be soon.
The bigger camera sensor gets in more light making the Pro models much better in low light photography. Computational photography goes a notch up with ability to clarify images to show more detail, even in low-light conditions. The quad pixel sensor is capturing more information with each click. And the video quality also goes up many notches with the new action mode that stabilises all videos without a gimbal. And, cinematic videos now get 4K resolution.
