Stalin will flag off his march for unity, the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', at Kanyakumari, where the DMK president is expected to reiterate his plea for Rahul to lead the Congress and the opposition during the next elections.
Rahul arrived in Chennai on Tuesday evening. After visiting Sriperumbudur, he will take a flight to Thiruvananthapuram, from where he will go to Kanyakumari by road. Stalin will hand over the national flag to him to formally inaugurate the unity march.
Rahul will start the march on Wednesday evening, but will cover the distance from Kanyakumari to the Kerala border in four days and conclude the first leg of the yatra in Tamil Nadu on Saturday.
Tamil Nadu Congress committee president K S Alagiri said that people from various walks of life, including political leaders, social activists, writers and common public are set to accompany Rahul on his yatra.
