Hyderabad: A man brutally killed his 40-year-old wife in front of her family members at Chandrayangutta.
Meherunnisa, a mother of four children, was married to Abrar of Kohir Mandal around 20 years ago. According to her family members, Abrar was an alcoholic.
After harassment, Meherunnisa shifted to her mother’s home at Tadlakunta in the Phoolbagh area of Chandrayangutta some days ago.
On Monday, Abrar charged at Meherunnisa and stabbed her in front of her family members.
Abrar also attacked Meherunnisa’s mother and another woman when they tried to save her. Later the man escaped from the spot.
ACP Falaknuma, Syed Jahangeer said Abrar stabbed his wife with a knife and she suffered bleeding injuries and died. Two teams have been formed to nab him. A case has been booked and the investigation is ongoing.
