Thane: Man gets 3 years’ rigorous imprisonment for abusing cop

THANE: The Thane sessions court convicted an undertrial for abusing and manhandling an on duty police officer on escort duty and sentenced him to three years rigorous imprisonment.
While convicting the accused, Bilal Khan, the Judge Dr. Rachna Tehra pointed out “..a public servant while discharging his duty is oftenexposed to considerable risk and law protects his official act and any obstruction made towards him is an offence.”
