Following the untimely demise of former Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry in a car crash near Mumbai, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that wearing seatbelts for those sitting in the back of a car is mandatory and those who violates the rule will be fined soon. Reacting to it, actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt launched a scathing attack and tweeted "All this talk of seat-belts & air bags. Important? Yes! But more so is fixing potholes & damaged roads. When will the usage of substandard material to build our roads, highways, freeways be deemed criminal. Also maintaining those roads once built & inaugurated with pomp is key." A number of netizens backed Pooja as one wrote, 'Can't agree more.' Another one tweeted, 'true Madam, Potholes are the biggest culprits for most accidents'.
