4 private bus associations merged in Guwahati

Guwahati: All the four associations of private-owned city buses have been merged into Metropolitan Transport Authority, Guwahati (MTAG) for operational efficiency and better coordination. Over 600 privately owned city buses ply every day.
The four associations were Guwahati Metroppolitan Transport Authority (GMTA), Guwahati Transport Authority, Delux City Bus Services and Greater Guwahati Mini Bus Owners’ Association (GGMBOA). Dhruba Jyoti Hazarika, additional deputy commissioner of transport department, is the chief adviser of MTAG and Pulak Goswami is the president. tnn
