Sandiaga Uno, the Tourism and Creative Economy Minister of Indonesia, has requested the players of tourism and creative economy to aim on managing their spending budgets cautiously to foresee the effect of the increase in subsidized prices of the fuel.
At the Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno, he said that it’s vital to save money.
Besides money saving, it’s prudent for the industry actors related to tourism and creative sector to supervise their cash flow intelligently.
These days many people state that ‘cash is king,’ therefore entrepreneurs should give importance to really essential expenses, the minister added.
At present, his ministry is calculating the effect of the rise in the prices of fuel carefully, keeping in mind that the players of creative industry may be intensely affected as the price of their products may also rise high due to the rise in the prices of the main materials of the products.
Also, the minister predicted that the increase in the prices of fuel will raise the price of creative products as well by almost 10 to 20 percent.
Therefore, he suggested tourism and creative industry actors to branch out the materials for their creative products as they can acquire the materials at reasonable prices and enjoy more reliable supply.
In addition, as far as the rush in land and sea transportation costs are concerned, if needed, the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry has plans to urge the Finance Ministry to offer social help for tourism and creative industry players.
