Nagpur: New Covid cases dropped below 10 in all districts, keeping the overall count at 31 for the region on Tuesday. Total 45 patients were discharged in the day, while no Covid casualty was reported from anywhere in Vidarbha.
The new cases were fewer though more number of tests were done. Nagpur made all the difference in the final tally of the day. The district reported 9 cases, probably first time after cases started spiralling. However, the district still has over 200 patients.
The Covid count also fell after dip in cases in Chandrapur, where the numbers had ‘exploded’ for the last couple of days. Now only Nagpur and Chandrapur have active patents above 100.
No new Covid patient was reported from Washim, while two recoveries were reported there in the day.
Chandrapur: After two days of spurt, the Covid cases dropped down to just one on Tuesday. Only solitary patient was detected out of 107 samples tested during last 24 hours. With seven recoveries and no death, the number of active patients came down to 108. Caseload inched ahead to 1,00,032, while recoveries inched up to 94,991. Toll is 1,571.
Wardha: Three new cases from 110 test reports were reported positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the caseload to 58,776. Meanwhile, two patients were discharged and total recoveries increased to 57,843, the active positive cases left in district are 15, there was no death while toll remained unchanged at 1,351.
Amravati: The district reported three new cases from 485 tests on Tuesday. As a result , the caseload reached at 1,06,953. There were six recoveries today, taking the total to 1,05,314. This left 11 cases under treatment, including two in hospital.
Yavatmal: The district saw one new positive patient during the last 24 hours, keeping the toll unchanged at 1,803. Currently there are 5 active positive patients undergoing treatment. Of the 79,709 positive patients reported so far, 77,901 were recovered. Of the 9,11,217 samples processed so far, 8,31,508 were found negative. The TPR is 8.75%, death rate is 2.26% and the daily positivity rate is 0.24%. The total Omicron patients reported in the district so far is 127.
