Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Expo Gas Cont(up 20.0%), Palm Jewels(up 20.0%), Concord Drugs(up 20.0%), Ltd.(up 20.0%), Jindal Photo(up 19.99%), Insilco Ltd(up 19.95%), Sakthi Sugars(up 19.66%), Hindustan Adhes(up 16.8%), Sun Retail(up 16.05%) and Kaarya Facilities(up 15.89%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 11.76 points up at 59257.74, while the 50-share index, NSE was 5.85 points up at 17671.65.
In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks traded in the green, while 28 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Gretex Corporate Services Ltd., , , and hit their fresh 52-week high, while Gennex Labs(PP), , Rhetan TMT Ltd., S M Gold and touched their new 52-week low during the session.
