
Shares of state-owned natural gas producer rose 2.14 per cent to Rs 93.15 in Tuesday’s trade, a day before the record date for the bonus issue.
The company board had recommended a bonus share issue in the ratio of 1:2 in July.
At 12.01 pm, the scrip was trading 0.55 per cent higher at Rs 91.70 over the last day’s closing of Rs 91.20 a piece. The stock has risen nearly 3.3 per cent in the last one month and is down 6.52 per cent in the past one year.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2022, GAIL (India) reported consolidated sales of Rs 37,987.96 crore, up 114.8 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported 52.17 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in net profit at Rs 3,252.95 crore for the latest quarter.
While the highest target for GAIL goes up to Rs 235, according to Trendlyne data, the average estimate of Rs 174.8 shows an upside potential of around 27.8 per cent from current prices.
Out of the 29 analysts covering the stock, only two of them have a sell rating while 22 have a strong buy rating.
