Gujarat: 45-year-old man killed for objecting to illegal acts

Rajkot: A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death during a religious function in Bhavnagar’s Jafri Society on Sunday night.
Police have booked Azharuddin Belim after a complaint was lodged by deceased Asiq Jamali’s son Mohammed. Mohammed has named Belim, his wife Umang Jogi and two unidentified persons in his complaint.
Police said that Jamali had earlier reprimanded Belim over the latter's alleged illegal activities, On Sunday night, Jamali again ticked him off for improper behaviour. Belim repeatedly stabbed him with a knife. Jamali sold electrical equipment purchased from the ships coming to Alang for dismantling.
