NOIDA: Prior to the launch of the second phase of plot allotment for the big-ticket medical device park (MDP) project next year, the Yamuna Expressway Authority plans to hold roadshows in countries, including Japan, Germany and Israel, besides some Indian cities to attract foreign and domestic investments.
The state’s first MDP scheme, proposed in close proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport and International Film City, was launched on May 23 this year. In the first phase of the scheme, the Authority allotted plots to 37 companies in July and they are likely to get possession by this year-end. The production of medical equipment is stated to start in two years.
The park which is being developed on 350 acres in Sector 28 of YEIDA, is expected to give direct and indirect job opportunities to about 70,000 people.
Officials said given the immense opportunity of foreign investments in the state, the UP government has decided to hold roadshows in various countries early next year and YEIDA plans to cash in on the opportunity. In India, roadshows would be held in Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru among other cities.
