Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi shook the internet in July, when the latter referred to the beauty queen as his ‘better looking partner’. The businessman even added Sushmita to his Instagram bio, calling her his ‘love’ and ‘partner in crime’ and his profile picture featured a happy selfie of theirs. But he recently changed his profile picture and Instagram bio, removing all traces of Sushmita Sen, thus sparking rumours of a split. However, they continue to follow each other on social media.

Announcing their romance, Lalit Modi had shared pictures with the actress and penned, “Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon. In love does not mean marriage yet. But one that by God's grace will happen. I just announced that we are together."

Internet trolls had soon targeted Sushmita Sen, calling her a gold digger for romancing a much older man. Slamming all negativity, the actress had penned, “I dig deeper than Gold…and I’ve always (famously) preferred Diamonds!! And yes I still buy them myself!!! I love the all heart support my well-wishers & loved ones continue to extend. Please know, your Sush is ABSOLUTELY fine.. cause I’ve never lived on the transient borrowed light of approval & applause. I am the Sun….perfectly Centred in my being & my conscience!! I love you guys!!!” Recently, Sushmita Sen’s elder daughter Renee Sen turned 23 and her birthday was attended by Sushmita Sen’s ex-boyfriends Rohman Shawl and Ritik Bhasin.
