Mumbai: Union home minister Amit Shah pushes for Gijubhai Badhek education method

MUMBAI: Minister of home affairs Amit Shah goaded teachers to use educationist Gijubhai Badhek's method of imparting education through stories like Panchatantra which would make students more decisive and give them clarity on good from bad.
Shah, who was in Powai to inaugurate A M Naik Sch-ool on Monday, also spoke ab-out the National Education policy and said it was a refl-ection of everything that former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan propounded.
"I am sad that it took us so long to implement what Shri Radhakrishnan has been propounding. He was a visionary and far-sighted scholar who knew then what kind of education was needed," added Shah. The new school is an ICSE school and started operations in June. tnn
