Two arrested with 3 pistols & ammo in Barmer

JAISALMER: Three pistols, four magazines and two live cartridges were recovered from two men travelling in a car in Barmer Sadar police station area on Monday. The two men were arrested.
Barmer SP Deepak Bhargav said police searched a Swift car after receiving a tip-off and, upon seizure of the illegal arms and ammunition, arrested Mangilal, 21, a resident of Jalore district, and Dinesh Kumar, 25, a resident of Barmer district.
“A case has been registered against the two men under the Arms Act and an investigation has started. We have started investigations to get to the source of these illegal weapons,” said Bhargav.
In a campaign against illegal weapons, the district police have recovered 18 pistols and many cartridges and magazines in the last four days. TNN
