Groom goes missing before wedding in Chengalpet

CHENNAI: A prospective groom went missing from the wedding hall at Thiruporur on Monday morning, just moments before his wedding. In an effort to find their son, the parents of the groom have filed a complaint with the Thiruporur police station.
The bride from Meyyur, and the groom, Sathish, 25, of Mettupalayam, were to wed at a hall in Chengalpet district. The marriage was scheduled to take place in a Thiruporur wedding venue. After cheerfully posing for a picture, the groom left the pre-wedding reception on Sunday and went to his room.
The groom's family went to wake him up while preparing the reception hall for the early morning wedding ceremonies. The door of his room was left open, and they discovered that he had escaped.
