GURUGRAM: The body of an 11-year-old boy, who had been missing since Saturday evening, was found buried in sand inside a madrassa in Shah Chokha village of Nuh on Monday, police said.
The boy's family said he had gone to madrassa for the evening prayers on Saturday, but didn't return home after that. "We received a call from the madrassa on Saturday late evening that my nephew had gone missing," the boy's uncle stated in his complaint to police.
The family, he said, then rushed to the madrassa searching for the boy but couldn't find him. They continued to search for him on Sunday as well, and approached the police on Monday.
On Monday afternoon, the police received information that the body of a minor was found inside a madrassa. "The boy's partially decomposed body was found in the room buried in sand. A foul smell had started emanating from the room, after which we were alerted," said Satbir Singh, the SHO of Nuh's Pinangwan police station.
"Today (Monday), I again received a call from the Haji who informed me that the body of my nephew was found in a room on the madrassa premises. My nephew has been murdered and I want the police to find the accused soon," said Iqbal.
An FIR, SHO Singh said, has been registered against unidentified people under IPC Section 302 (murder).
