We have been a witness to several videos where we have seen wild animals enter residential areas and that caused quite a panic among the residents. One such video that has gone viral on social media is from West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district.

The video shows elephants walking inside an army cantonment in Jalpaiguri district. The animals can be seen moving around the building freely. We can also see how people inside the building were trying to capture the elephants walking in the room on their mobile phones from a distance.

The video triggered an array of reactions on social media, mostly funny. However, there were some who pointed out that elephants entering the residential areas is only a result of deforestation. “The result of deforestation and destruction of forest and their homes,” a user wrote.
