MSU prof appointed VC of Sanskrit varsity in Puri

Vadodara: Professor Rabindra Kumar Panda from M S University has been appointed as vice-chancellor (VC) of Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya in Puri, Odisha, for a term of four years. Odisha governor professor Ganeshi Lal appointed Panda as VC on Sunday. Panda, a professor in the department of Sanskrit, Pali & Prakrit of Faculty of Arts, has served as head of the department and principal of Baroda Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya for almost a decade. Panda was earlier a student at the Sanskrit university where he has been appointed as the VC. “This appointment will provide a chance to me to serve my alma matter,” said Panda. TNN
