BENGALURU: Basava Siddalinga Swamy, the seer of Guru Madivaleshwar Mutt, died by suicide in Karnataka's Belagavi district.
Police said that Swamy was found hanging and a death note has been found.
Appropriate action will be taken regarding the viral audio clip, ANI quoted Belagavi SP Sanjeev Patil as saying.
A further probe is under way.
