Mazhar Mohammad of Chartviewindia.in said technical indicators are turning mixed as the weekly MACD chart has generated a 'buy' signal, giving an edge to the bulls.

NEW DELHI: Shares of , Celebrity Fash, , and , hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 126.35 points up at 17665.8 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Mangalam Worldwide Ltd., , , Bombay Rayon and , touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 36 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 14 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, , , ITC, and NTPC were among top gainers during the day, while , , , Cem. and ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 442.65 points up at 59245.98.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Agro Processing, Industrial Equipment, Cables and Metals - Non Ferrous sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Miscellaneous, Term Lending Institutions, Petrochemicals and Gas & Petroleum sectors during the day.
