Talking to TOI, Awanindra Singh said, “Teachers are in a profession that contributes to the morality of society in a way that is priceless. They want to see their students as successful. Recognizing their effort is the most precious gift that the government can give to the teacher on Teacher’s Day.”
Bineshwar Kumar said, “When I joined the school, there was not even a proper road to reach the institution. Also, people were not interested in sending their children to schools. Today, children study in smart classes in government schools, thanks to the efforts of teachers.”
Asha Rani said, “Knowing the importance of language in the elarning process, I taught the students in their local language as well as in other languages, such as Sanskrit. Teachers work even beyond their comfort zone.”
The teachers were selected based on the nominations filed by the respective district education officers (DEO) from each of the 23 districts in the state. Meanwhile, the department of school education and literacy would seek an explanation from the Lohardaga DEO as the district did not participate.
