NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Monday.
Shares of HCL Technologies(up 1.25 per cent), MPhasis(up 0.94 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 0.82 per cent), Infosys(up 0.57 per cent) and Coforge(up 0.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 0.56 per cent), Wipro(down 0.54 per cent) and Mindtree(down 0.21 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.33 per cent up at 27836.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 126.35 points at 17665.8, while the BSE Sensex stood up 442.65 points at 59245.98.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 ended in the green, while 14 closed in the red.
Shares of , , , and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of , Celebrity Fash, , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mangalam Worldwide Ltd., , , Bombay Rayon and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
