Jaipur: Under the e-Gram Swaraj initiative of the government of India, Jaipur and Jodhpur districts are yet to upload their development work plans (for the financial year 2022-23) on the portal for online payments and sanctions, a rural development and panchayati raj department report stated.
Among panchayat samitis, 36 out of 352 haven’t uploaded their development work plans yet and among gram panchayats in the state, 2,753 out of 11,304 are yet to upload the plans on the portal.
To strengthen e-governance in panchayati raj institutions (PRIs) across the country, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) has launched e-Gram Swaraj, a user-friendly web-based portal. “Once the development work plans are uploaded on the portal, the payments for various plans/projects and sanctions are done online based on that,” a panchayati raj department official said.
The gram panchayats of Bundi (99.46%), Chittorgarh (98.66), Sikar (96%), Dholpur (95.21%) and Tonk (94.92%) have performed well in uploading their development work plans on the e-Gram Swaraj portal, the report stated.
However, Pali (36.07%),
Udaipur (44.17%), Bhilwara (50%), Sawai Madhopur (63.88%) and Ajmer (67.38%) have fared badly in terms of uploading their development work plans on the e-Gram Swaraj portal. tnn
