The NSE Nifty index traded 112.45 points up at 17651.9, while BSE Sensex was up 395.09 points at 59198.42 as of 10:34AM(IST)on September 05.
In the Nifty index, .(up 2.47 per cent), .(up 1.95 per cent), .(up 1.70 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent) and .(up 1.56 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, .(down 0.62 per cent), .(down 0.55 per cent), .(down 0.51 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.50 per cent) and .(down 0.47 per cent) were among the top losers.
